Microsoft 365
Tenant design, licensing, security hardening, Teams, SharePoint and ongoing administration for Microsoft 365 environments.
What Microsoft 365 means in practice
Our Microsoft 365 service designs, secures and administers your tenant: identity, licensing, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with governance policies suited to a Canadian organisation.
Microsoft 365 is powerful and permissive by default. Out-of-the-box settings often leave external sharing wide open and legacy authentication enabled, so the difference between a good tenant and a risky one is configuration.
Problems this removes
- Wrong licences costing more than needed
- Sprawling Teams and SharePoint sites with no ownership
- Legacy authentication still enabled
- External sharing set far too open
- No retention or data-loss policies
What you get
- Licence right-sizing and renewal management
- Conditional access, MFA and security defaults reviewed
- SharePoint and Teams structure with naming and ownership
- Retention, sensitivity labels and data-loss prevention
- Shared mailbox, calendar and group administration
- Secure Score improvement plan

01Our delivery method for microsoft 365
We treat every microsoft 365 engagement as a small project with a start, an end and a measurable outcome. The sequence is assess, design, implement, validate and hand over. At each step you see exactly what is changing, why and when. Documentation is created as we go and delivered at the end so your organisation is not dependent on one engineer's memory. Target: Secure Score improved by a documented margin in 90 days, licence waste identified in the first review.
02How we measure microsoft 365
What gets measured improves. For microsoft 365 we agree a small set of indicators in advance and report them monthly or quarterly. General service targets apply as well: a 99.9% uptime target on managed services, a 15-minute response target for priority tickets and round-the-clock monitoring. If a target is missed, we explain why and what is being done.
03Typical clients for microsoft 365
Clients who benefit most from microsoft 365 usually share three traits: they depend on technology to serve customers, they hold information they cannot afford to lose or leak, and they do not want to build a full IT department. Common examples include healthcare & clinics, logistics & transportation and accounting & tax firms organisations. The common thread is a desire for predictable operations and a partner who communicates plainly.
04Handling your data responsibly
Access to your systems is controlled: named engineers, individual accounts, multi-factor authentication and an audit trail. We document where microsoft 365 data is stored, who can reach it and how it is retained or deleted. Our practices are designed with PIPEDA and BC PIPA in mind, and we align vendor selections with SOC 2-aligned providers wherever possible.
05Part of a wider technology plan
Rarely does a single service stand alone. Microsoft 365 typically intersects with Backup & Disaster Recovery, Cloud Migration and Cybersecurity, and we plan them together so that identity, devices, networks and data protection fit one design. Our vCIO team keeps the sequence in order, so budget is spent in the right order and every purchase supports the following one.
06What happens in the first weeks
Early weeks focus on visibility and risk reduction. We inventory what exists, close the most urgent gaps and agree a plan for everything else. Staff receive short notices describing what will change, and leadership receives a first findings summary. By the end of the first month you will know the state of your microsoft 365, what it will cost to improve and what outcome to expect.
07Starting prices
As a guide, microsoft 365 is priced as a defined project from $2,500 or as part of a managed plan of $89 to $199 per user per month. vCIO retainers start from $1,500 per month and security assessments from $1,900. A 10% launch discount applies, 5% GST is added, and there is no lock-in. Call (604) 632-4959 or email [email protected] for a free 30-minute consultation and a fixed quote.
