Frequently asked questions
What does IT Experts do?
IT Experts is a managed IT, cybersecurity and cloud services brand for Canadian organisations with 10 to 500 staff. We provide helpdesk, monitoring, security, backup, cloud, networking and strategic advice, led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, under the SAZ.ca consulting practice. We are an IT services and consulting firm, not a reseller.
Who is behind IT Experts?
IT Experts is a sub-brand of SAZ.ca (Strategy, AI & Acceleration consulting) and Sedighi.ca. The founder is Ali Sedighi, MBA, a Vancouver-based marketing and technology strategist and CTO with more than 17 years of experience since 2007.
Where do you operate?
We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and serve organisations across every Canadian province and territory. British Columbia is our primary focus, with coverage pages for 169 BC cities, 39 cities nationwide and all 13 provinces and territories.
How much does managed IT cost?
Managed IT starts from $89 to $199 per user per month depending on the security stack and support hours. Projects start from $2,500, vCIO retainers from $1,500 per month and security assessments from $1,900. A 10% launch discount applies and 5% GST is added.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free. Call (604) 632-4959 or email [email protected] and we will discuss your environment, priorities and options without obligation.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. There is no lock-in. After onboarding, services run month to month, and you retain ownership of your documentation, configurations and data.
What are your response and uptime targets?
Our published targets are 99.9% uptime for managed services, a 15-minute response on priority tickets and 24/7 monitoring. They are service targets backed by process, escalation and monthly reporting, not guarantees of outcome.
Can you work with our in-house IT team?
Yes. Our co-managed IT service supplements your staff with monitoring, security operations, escalation expertise and after-hours coverage, with responsibilities documented in a RACI.
How do you handle privacy and compliance?
We map controls to PIPEDA, BC PIPA and customer security questionnaires, and favour Canadian data residency where practical. We help you prepare policies and evidence for audits, but we do not issue certifications.
Do you sell hardware and software?
We procure equipment and licences when you need them, but we are not a reseller. Recommendations are based on fit and total cost of ownership, not on vendor margin.
How long does onboarding take?
Most organisations are fully onboarded within 30 days. Week one covers inventory and monitoring, weeks two and three cover the security baseline, and by day 30 you receive a findings report and a roadmap.
What platforms do you support?
We support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure, AWS, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, Fortinet and mainstream endpoint, backup and security platforms. We also coordinate with your line-of-business application vendors.
Do you provide on-site support?
We are remote-first from Vancouver, and most issues are resolved remotely. For installations, cabling, moves and hardware, we coordinate local technicians and manage the work so you deal with one party.
What happens if we decide to leave?
You keep your documentation, configurations and data. We provide a structured hand-over to your next provider or internal team, because we would rather earn each month of service than lock you in.
