Azure & AWS
Landing-zone design, workload hosting, cost governance and security for Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
What Azure & AWS means in practice
Our Azure and AWS service covers architecture, deployment and ongoing operation of cloud workloads, from virtual desktops and line-of-business servers to storage, networking and identity integration.
Cloud bills grow quietly. Governance - tagging, budgets, right-sizing and network design - is what keeps hosting costs predictable and security consistent across subscriptions and accounts.
Problems this removes
- Workloads lifted to the cloud without redesign
- Public storage or open management ports
- Monthly bills with no cost owner
- Disaster recovery that exists only on paper
- Identity split between cloud and on-premises
What you get
- Landing zone with network, identity and logging baselines
- Right-sized workloads with reserved or savings plans
- Backup, replication and failover design
- Cost dashboards, tags and budget alerts
- Security posture review and remediation
- Hybrid identity with Entra ID

02Part of a wider technology plan
Rarely does a single service stand alone. Azure & AWS typically intersects with Email Security & Anti-Phishing, VoIP & Teams Phone and Managed Detection & Response, and we plan them together so that identity, devices, networks and data protection fit one design. Our vCIO team keeps the sequence in order, so budget is spent in the right order and every purchase supports the following one.
03Who Azure & AWS is right for
Azure & AWS suits Canadian organisations of 10 to 500 staff that want enterprise-grade discipline without an enterprise cost base. It is especially relevant to construction & trades, healthcare & clinics and law firms teams, where the combination of regulated information, mobile workers and limited internal IT makes professional management of azure & aws worthwhile. If you already have internal IT staff, we can deliver it as part of a co-managed arrangement.
04Our delivery method for azure & aws
We treat every azure & aws engagement as a small project with a start, an end and a measurable outcome. The sequence is assess, design, implement, validate and hand over. At each step you see exactly what is changing, why and when. Documentation is created as we go and delivered at the end so your organisation is not dependent on one engineer's memory. Target: tagged and budgeted resources from day one, cost review every month, DR test annually.
05Handling your data responsibly
Access to your systems is controlled: named engineers, individual accounts, multi-factor authentication and an audit trail. We document where azure & aws data is stored, who can reach it and how it is retained or deleted. Our practices are designed with PIPEDA and BC PIPA in mind, and we align vendor selections with SOC 2-aligned providers wherever possible.
06Service levels and reporting
Our service targets are published: 99.9% uptime for managed services, 15-minute response on priority incidents and 24/7 monitoring coverage. Targets are goals backed by process, escalation and reporting rather than guarantees of outcome, and we review performance with you monthly. For azure & aws, reporting includes the metrics that matter to the business, with plain-language commentary instead of raw dashboards.
07What happens in the first weeks
Early weeks focus on visibility and risk reduction. We inventory what exists, close the most urgent gaps and agree a plan for everything else. Staff receive short notices describing what will change, and leadership receives a first findings summary. By the end of the first month you will know the state of your azure & aws, what it will cost to improve and what outcome to expect.
